Listen to examples of my students that have recorded at the Scott Richardson Vocal Studio:
Kayleigh Cronin was named the top young female Jazz singer in New Hampshire a few years back. She has gone on to get her BA in musical theatre from Carnegie-Mellon University and now is on Broadway starring as Sally Bowles in Cabaret. Here she sings Stuff Like That There.
Cam Brown and Alison Cusano are young professional actors from Durham and Hampton, NH. . Alison, after graduating from the Hartt School of Music in Connecticut, recently starred on Broadway as Janis Joplin in an Evening with Janis Joplin . Cam graduated from Depaul University and is a successful actor in Chicago. This studio recording is Master of the House from the Les Miserables, which they did together at the Seacoast Repertory Theatre.
Allie Ray is a talented singer and songwriter from Southern New Hampshire and now studies Music Business at Northeastern University. We have written many songs together -- here's one from her Christmas CD called You Can Bet.
Paul McKeon is the CEO of a large, successful software company by day. If he ever decides to move on from that business, I am sure he'd be just as successful as a singer. Here he sings When You Say You Love Me.
Jessica Parker is young prolific singer, and songwriter and from Dover, NH, was recently signed to Capitol records. Here is our biggest hit that we have written so far called, Don't Waste My Time. Many more to follow!
Nick Aikens studies music at Berklee School of Music. Here he tackles an incredibly difficult song for any singer from Jesus Christ Superstar, Heaven on Their Minds. Great job Nick!
Molly McClarnon is a very fine New York City based actress, who on this recording does a great job singing a Jazz tune called Lost Mind.
Jennifer Taylor was named the top high school soprano for New Hampshire Jazz All State and currently studies musical theatre at Syracuse University. She also loves musical theatre and sings both Glinda and Elphaba's parts of Wicked's For Good.
Julie Dubela is one of New Hampshire's most acclaimed young singers. Julie was a finalist on American Idol (Junior Version), starred in the NBC television show Endurance and finished second on the reality TV show America's Most Talented Kid. She has been touring internationally with her band, the Ultrasonic Rock Orchestra. Here is a live recording of her singing the Star Spangled Banner at a New England Patriots game.
Arran Maran is somewhat new to vocal training but is catching on fast as you can hear by a song he wrote called Wildfire. He plays guitar on this and even brought his bass player and drummer to the studio to record.
Cayla Reddington is studying musical theatre currently in Boston at Suffolk University but loves all music. Here she sings a song by Demi Lovato called Catch Me.
Dylan Schwartz-Wallach is a young professional actor and singer from Maine who is a senior acting major at Carnegie-Mellon University. He has a very versatile style and here he sings a folk song written by his friend Zach called Maryanne. I play guitar and mandolin on this one.
Liz Mayer had been a lifelong choral singer before starting lessons with me. This was her first effort at singing jazz and it came out wonderfully -- Route 66.
Sydney Porter is a young singer, composer, guitarist and pianist from Southern Maine now studying at Berklee School of Music. Here is a song from a Broadway Musical she is writing called Broken.
Jacob Brown had never even sung when he came to me in middle school. He has gone on to become quite a songwriter and performer who is now studying music business at Belmont University in Nashville. Here is an original called Under the Midnight Sky.
Hallie Gremlits was part of one of the funnest projects I have ever done at SRVS. Here is a recording of Belle from Beauty and the Beast in which she sings all the female parts and I sing all the male parts. She is a currently a musical theatre major at the University of Vermont.
Julie Matson is from Portsmouth, NH and sings an interesting arrangement of Nine Inch Nails Hurt.
Rachel Griffin is a professional singer and songwriter from Portland, Maine who is now hitting the big time in New York City. She's currently touring the country as well as working on her fourth CD. Here she sings her own song called Lighter than Air. Her website is: www.rachelgriffin.com.
Abbey Kendrigan is a CPA at a large Boston accounting firm by day. With a voice like this, don't you think she should change professions? Time After Time is sung here.
Chance Greenier is studying songwriting and vocal performance on Berklee College of music in Boston. Here he sings and plays a song he wrote called Confusion.
Jenny Baker is a high school student from Southern Maine who has worked very hard to improve her voice. You can see the results here with her first studio recording ever of Taylor Swift's Mean.
Laura Corlin is a graduate of the University of the Arts in Philadelphia where she studied Jazz Voice. She was formerly Miss Teen New Hampshire and we released a CD of children's songs to raise money for charity. Here she sings a fun song called Grandma's Feather Bed.
Olivia Dunn is an NYU theatre major who does a great job of singing Jason Robert Brown's Taylor the Latte Boy.
The University of New Hampshire Notables are a long-standing institution of 16 young female singers. Here is a song from their CD that I produced here at SRVS called Renegade.
Scott Richardson (the teacher!) sings an aria from the Mozart opera, The Marriage of Figaro entitled Non Piu Andrai. Even though I love to sing all music, I decided to be a little different and sing some classical music for you.
All songs produced, engineered and recorded by Scott Richardson at SRVS. All instrumentation played by Scott Richardson except as noted.
